Our terms and conditions

1. the guest accommodation contract is concluded as soon as the room has been ordered and confirmed or, if a confirmation was no longer possible due to time constraints, has been made available.

2. the conclusion of the guest accommodation contract obliges the contracting parties to fulfill the contract, regardless of the duration of the contract. The reservation of the room refers only to the quality, but not to a specific room. Arrival time is binding between 15:00 and 20:00 (November to March 18:00), unless otherwise confirmed in writing in advance. A key safe is also available for late arrivals by telephone arrangement. The room must be vacated by 12:00 noon on the day of departure.

3. the hotelier is obliged to pay compensation to the guest if the room is not made available.

4. in accordance with §537 BGB, the guest is obliged to pay the agreed or customary price if the contractual services are not used, less the expenses saved by the hotelier (20%).

4.1. If the guest informs the hotelier that he will not make use of the service (cancellation), the hotelier is entitled to rent the rented room to other guests as a substitute in order to limit the payment obligation in accordance with §537 BGB. Until the room is reallocated, the guest must pay the amount calculated in accordance with section 4 for the duration of the contract. This also applies if the guest was exceptionally promised a specific room. The guest should inform us immediately whether the room is to be offered to other guests for the entire period or only for a few days.

4.2. The guest is advised that the agency fee to be paid by the hotel to a booking portal for the replacement rental will be deducted from the calculation and must therefore be paid by the guest.

4.3. The guest is permitted to prove that the hotelier has gained advantages in accordance with § 537 BGB and that no or a lesser loss of rent has occurred.

5. the hotelier is obliged in good faith to allocate unused rooms to other guests if possible in order to avoid cancellations.

6. the guest bears the travel risks, for example due to restricted air or train traffic. This also applies if the restrictions occur due to the Covid19/Corona pandemic or a similar situation or if travel from a high-risk area is prohibited or only permitted with a test. Fast is not exempt from paying the rent if arrival is not possible due to illness or quarantine. The hotelier recommends taking out travel cancellation insurance that covers the corona risk.

7. dog only after prior registration. It is not permitted to take food into the breakfast room.

8. for cars with a width of 1.85 m and wider, we provide and charge for two spaces.

9. the rental of a parking/garage space does not include insurance cover.

10. all prices without tourist tax.

We accept Visa, Master and Eurocard as well as EC card.

Our website, homepage, links, prices and available rooms are subject to change. Hotel Monbijou has not yet entered into a contractual commitment with regard to prices and occupancy times. The conclusion of a written contract signed by both parties is decisive for the contractual commitment.
